The beginning

TPSi started in 1975 as a technical programming concern. In 1978, we shifted our focus to computer output services, first with COM (computer output to microfiche) and later with COLD (computer output to laser disk).

We earned a reputation for exceptional customer service by collecting customer COM tapes at the end of the day, creating originals and duplicates overnight, and delivering the finished product at 8:00 a.m. the next business day.

When five of our original customers asked us to add variable data laser printing, we listened. Intelligent mail finishing followed, and our equipment, staff and customer base continued to grow.

Document technology that grows with you

In October 2001, TPSi licensed Dialogue by Exstream Software and immediately put it into production. We have composed on the same platform continuously through its HP and OpenText acquisitions. Today, the platform is known as OpenText Exstream.

We expanded into full-color digital printing, digital archive-to-web services, eStatements and our own online development tool, WebViewTool.

A commitment to digital print innovation

Our first HP Indigo 3500 arrived in 2006, bringing high-quality full-color printing to short-run static and long-run variable-content projects. In 2012, the HP Indigo 7600 expanded our capabilities with seven-color CMYK+ printing, white and clear inks, raised ink, textured effects and on-site PMS ink mixing and matching.

In 2016, HP selected TPSi as one of only two U.S. locations to beta test the Indigo 7900. Its capabilities included heavier substrates, One Shot technology for synthetic substrates and expanded Pantone color emulation. We also converted our existing 7600 to a 7900.

Our next chapter

In 2023, TPSi added the HP Indigo 15K, expanding our digital printing capabilities again. We also invested in PressWise and web-to-print technology to make ordering print materials easier for our business customers.
